  1. Very cool ! so I know there are endless simulations, but how do you KNOW KNOW that it’s going to get off the ground for the 1 st time?? must be really nerve wracking. How many test flights do they do before it is ready to be put into commercial use?

    • I guess you never KNOW KNOW, but in 100 years Boeing has never developed an airplane which hasn’t gotten off the ground. Prior to commercial use the 787 will put in over 3,000 flight hours. The number of flight will depend of weather conditions.
